The eyes of the world are on Europe's East, as hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians take to the streets in Kyiv calling for a pro-European future for their nation. US Senator John McCain has played a consistent and leading role in ensuring American support for democracy and opportunity in the region. Just returning from Kyiv, where he engaged in talks with government officials, opposition leaders, members of civil society, and demonstrators on the ground in Maidan Square, Senator McCain will provide a personal outlook on the current crisis and thoughts on how the United States can support democratic development in the nations of the European Union's Eastern Partnership.
