Akif Irfan is a participant in the 2024 Executive Leadership Intensive and a vice president at Goldman Sachs, where he is a portfolio manager on the energy infrastructure and renewables team, responsible for managing funds with investments spanning the energy sector. With more than fourteen years of industry experience, Irfan is closely engaged with senior executives, policy experts, academics, and other leaders in the energy space. He also regularly shares his perspectives as a speaker at panels, webcasts, and investor forums, as well as through articles and interviews. Additionally, Irfan plays a leadership role for several international humanitarian organizations. He was selected for the Aspen Strategy Group Rising Leaders Program, is a term member of the Council on Foreign Relations and serves as an advisory board member for the Goldin Institute. Irfan earned an MBA from Columbia Business School, an MA from Columbia University, and a BA from Northwestern University.
