Alen Amini is a 2022 Atlantic Council Millennium Leadership fellow, a management consultant at Boston Consulting Group, and the executive director of WiderNet, a nonprofit organization that provides information access to people lacking reliable internet via its eGranary Digital Library. WiderNet’s eGranary is an offline information device that provides access to thirty-five million digital resources for those lacking internet connections and has been adopted by 2,200 institutions serving millions of people worldwide. Born in Ohio, Amini was a math teacher and vice principal in Arkansas and has experience running a rug business and a food truck. Amini has a passion for geopolitics and is a Council on Foreign Relations term member, is a White House alum, and was a Fulbright scholar. Amini is an alumnus of Harvard University (where he was a Center for Public Leadership fellow), earned his MBA at Dartmouth College, and earned a computer science degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
