Apekshita Varshney is a senior fellow for the Atlantic Council’s Climate Resilience Center. Varshney is a senior development professional and founder of HeatWatch, a nonprofit working to advance equitable climate adaptation for heat-exposed and marginalized communities in India.

With over a decade of experience, Varshney has worked across media, international nonprofits, and multilateral institutions including the United Nations. She brings expertise in strategic communications, advocacy, community-led research, programme design, and policy engagement. Her work spans the intersections of urban development, labour rights, corporate accountability and climate resilience.

Varshney holds a Master of Science from University College London where she was a Commonwealth scholar, and a Bachelor’s from University of Mumbai.
