Caroline Thompson is a program assistant at the GeoTech Center, where she contributes to projects and research at the intersection of geopolitics and emerging technologies with a particular focus on artificial intelligence. Thompson joined the GeoTech Center upon completion of the Atlantic Council Young Global Professional program. Prior to joining the Atlantic Council, she interned with the Department of State at the embassy in Budapest and worked in higher education and software. Thompson is proficient in French and her areas of interest include innovation, data bias and security, and artificial intelligence.

Thompson received her BA in international relations and history from Tulane University and is currently pursuing her MA in national security with a focus on critical and emerging technologies at American University, where she is a fellow for the Center for Security, Innovation, and New Technology.
