Isabella Borshoff is a 2023 Women Leaders in Energy and Climate Fellow. Borshoff is a London-based strategy lead at National Grid, where she works on energy transition challenges and opportunities across the company’s portfolio of electricity infrastructure assets. Prior to joining National Grid, she was a policy adviser in the Australian Prime Minister’s Department, a central agency in the federal civil service, where she was responsible for briefing the prime minister and senior members of government on priority climate and energy issues. In between those two roles, she spent a year as a freelancer and then staff writer at The Wire China, a US-based digital news magazine, where she covered China-related business, geopolitics, and energy.

Borshoff has a bachelor of arts in history from the University of Melbourne and a master’s in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School.
