John Speed Meyers is a nonresident senior fellow with the Atlantic Council’s Cyber Statecraft Initiative in the Digital Forensic Research Lab and principal research scientist at Chainguard, where he co-leads Chainguard Labs, a research lab focused on software supply-chain security. He conducts empirical software-security research on open-source software security, container security, and open-source software communities. He previously worked at IQT Labs, the RAND Corporation, and the Center for Strategic and Budgetary Assessments. He holds a PhD in policy analysis from the Pardee RAND Graduate School, a masters in public affairs (MPA) from Princeton’s School of Public and International Affairs, and a BA in international relations from Tufts University.
