I co-founded Vaxess Technologies, Cambridge Crops and Moveo, innovative companies tackling healthcare, food security and mobility challenges. Those companies raised a combined $30mn from Venture Capital, Government grants and Foundations. I am a former research fellow at the Harvard Kennedy School Center for Business and Government Sustainability Science program under the leadership of Prof. Bill Clark.
I received a master’s in public policy from the Harvard Kennedy School, with a concentration in Business and Government Policy. Previously I was an economist at the United Nations and worked on large projects and reforms financed by the World Bank and the Asian Development Bank mostly in South East Asia.
I hold a bachelor’s degree in economics from Bocconi University in Milan (summa cum laude) and a double master’s degree in economics and management from Bocconi and Fudan University in Shanghai (summa cum laude).
I grew up near Florence, where I return every September to help my grandparents distilling grappa and make a decent chianti wine from our grapes.
