United States and CanadaMadeline Ryan is a 2025–2026 Millennium fellow and a policy analyst on the US Senate Foreign Relations Committee. She works on a range of key foreign policy issues, including multilateral institutions, human rights, democracy, trafficking in persons, and other topics. Prior to the Senate, Ryan was a vice president in the Office of Government and Regulatory Affairs at Goldman Sachs in Washington, DC, covering a range of topics, including domestic and international regulatory and legislative issues, geopolitical developments, and US politics. She also served as chief of staff to the global head of government affairs. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Ryan worked at the US Mission to the United Nations in New York as a policy advisor to the ambassador focused on the United Nations Economic and Social Council. She also worked in the Office of Speaker Paul Ryan and at the Ronald Reagan Presidential Foundation and Institute. Ryan has a bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University and is an active member of the alumni community.
