Marina Meyjes is a project assistant at the Atlantic Council’s GeoTech Center. In this role, she contributes to projects and research at the intersection of geopolitics and emerging technologies, with a particular focus on artificial intelligence (AI). Her work focuses on ethics, policy, and international cooperation. Meyjes joined the GeoTech Center upon completion of the Atlantic Council young global professionals program. Prior to joining the Atlantic Council, Marina co-founded AFTER, a nonprofit, youth-led educational initiative.

Meyjes received an MPhil in politics and international studies from the University of Cambridge, with a focus on emerging technologies and global social justice. Her recent research has been at the intersection of feminist technoscience and the social consequences of emerging digital technologies, particularly within a Global South and developmental context. Meyjes received her BA in history from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she graduated summa cum laude. Meyjes is proficient in Spanish and her areas of interest primarily include the economic, social, and environmental consequences of AI and data-driven technologies.
