Michael Dunn is a 2025–2026 Veterans Advanced Energy fellow with the Atlantic Council’s Global Energy Center and is a senior manager of market intelligence and policy analysis at Hanwha Qcells, where he leads cross-functional analysis on US solar manufacturing, clean-energy policy, and market dynamics. In this role, he translates evolving federal policy and trade enforcement dynamics into actionable executive strategy.
Previously, Dunn worked in the energy practice at Boston Consulting Group, where he advised utilities and energy companies on market strategy, infrastructure planning, and regulatory impacts. Across roles, his work has spanned the full solar value chain, supporting project development, manufacturing economics, and policy-driven demand growth, as well as emerging intersections between clean energy, data-center load growth, and national security.
Dunn served six and a half years in the United States Army, including three and a half years on active duty and three years in the Army National Guard, separating at the rank of sergeant. He served in the Signal Corps and largely supported SATCOM operations. Dunn holds an MBA from Georgetown University and a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Alabama. He lives in Washington, DC, and serves as a community leader with Project Vanguard.
