Human RightsNidal Azhary is a 2025–2026 Millennium fellow and the executive director of L’Union Féministe Libre, a North African organization combating gender- and sexuality-based violence through advocacy, legal services, and direct support.
With over a decade of leadership across Africa, the Mediterranean, and international arenas, she has built and scaled networks that influence policy, strengthen civil society, and engage the private sector in advancing equality. Azhary’s portfolio spans advising on corporate conduct in human rights internationally, overseeing governance and resource mobilization regionally, and leading delegations at global policy forums.
A graduate of executive programs at Stanford and the University of Notre Dame, Azhary also holds advanced degrees in public law and international humanitarian law. She is recognized for bridging grassroots activism with high-level diplomacy and for championing inclusive policy solutions across the Middle East and North Africa, Sub-Saharan Africa, and beyond.
Azhary is based in the Kingdom of Morocco.
