Stephanie Ávalos is a deputy director at the Atlantic Council’s Adrienne Arsht Latin America Center, where she leads development and external affairs. She brings more than a decade of experience in designing partnerships, leading policy advocacy, and advancing strategic initiatives across Latin America, the United States, and multilateral organizations. 

Before joining the Atlantic Council, she was part of Roche’s Latin America team, where she developed high-level policy dialogues and built alliances bridging health and innovation priorities across the region. She previously served with Roche Ecuador and, earlier in her career, worked in the Ecuadorian government at the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Labor. 

Ávalos is a Forté fellow and scholar in Georgetown University’s Executive MBA program. Originally from Quito, Ecuador, she is a native Spanish speaker, fluent in English, and proficient in French. She has worked extensively at the intersection of government, the private sector, and civil society to promote sustainable and inclusive development.
