Tatevik Khachatryan is an assistant director for events on the Atlantic Council’s engagement team. In this role, she plans and coordinates a diverse range of events across the Council’s sixteen programs and centers.

Previously, Khachatryan served as a public affairs and strategic communications associate at Locust Street Group in Washington, DC. In this role, she managed Fortune 500 clients, provided media relations outreach, crafted communications, and conducted in-depth research across seven client accounts. She previously interned at the US Naval War College, where she researched the ethics of emerging technologies for military and government leaders. At the US Naval War College, she made contributions to initiatives at the US Defense Department’s Joint Artificial Intelligence Center, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency, and the National Security Commission on Artificial Intelligence. Khachatryan’s research focuses on the intersection of disruptive technology, national security, and diplomacy, which she explores through strategic foresight methodologies.

Khachatryan holds a master’s degree in public diplomacy and global communications from the Maxwell School of Citizenship and Public Affairs and S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. She also holds an advanced certificate in security studies from the Institute for Security Policy and Law at Syracuse University. She earned dual bachelor’s degrees in philosophy and international relations from Roger Williams University with minors in public health and Spanish. She is fluent in Armenian and English and intermediate in Spanish.
