Thomas Scott is a 2025 Millennium Leadership Intensive participant and the general counsel of universal stablecoin platform M0. This role builds on more than a decade practicing law at the intersection of financial transparency and emerging technology, most recently as the chief legal officer of the World protocol, a project co-founded by Sam Altman o build critical tools for ensuring “proof of humanity” in the artificial-intelligence age. Prior to that, Scott practiced at General Motors’ self-driving car startup, Cruise; the law firm Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer; and courts in the US and South Africa. A founding member of The L Suite peer community, Scott has been honored as an Atlantik-Brücke German-American young leader, a Truman Governance fellow, a South Carolina Honors College distinguished young alumnus, and a finalist for the LA Times’ In-House Counsel Leader of the Year Award. He received his BA in African development from the University of South Carolina, a JD from Stanford Law School, and a Master of Public Affairs from Princeton University.
