The Hill cites the Atlantic Council for honoring Ukrainian singer and activist Ruslana Lyzhychko at its annual Distinguished Leadership Awards dinner:

Ukrainian pop star Ruslana Lyzhychko called on President Obama to show “courage” to end the Russian intervention in Ukraine at an awards dinner in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday night. 

“Mr. President Obama, words cannot stop tanks,” Lyzhychko, an active member of the opposition group Euromaidan, said at the event hosted by the Atlantic Council, according to AFP. 

Lyzhychko, who received the Council’s Distinguished Humanitarian Leadership Award, urged the president to “end the war,” and help Ukraine maintain its freedom.
