On April 12, 2019, Pepe Zhang was quoted in the BNAmericas article, “China holds steady in face of LatAm upheaval”.
Zhang shared, “Chinese investors have more patience than Western investors, but obviously they are not immune. I agree that Chinese investors are also affected by macro-economic or political instability. Investment climate in general is something that international investors value very deeply. I will say that the current scenario isn’t great for investor confidence, given what is going on in Chile and other parts of the region, but I think the Chinese are willing to wait and see, and work something out in these countries, especially when there are projects, investments, and assets.”
