On October 5, a recent article by Matthew Kroenig, vice president and Scowcroft Center senior director, and Dan Negrea, senior director of the Freedom and Prosperity Center, was featured in Politico‘s national security newsletter. Kroenig and Negrea argue that congressional funding for the war in Ukraine is at risk because lawmakers do not see a coherent set of policies for Ukraine. They contend that President Joe Biden must use his address to the nation to articulate a clear strategy.
If [President Biden] favors Ukrainian victory, he is not acting like it. Instead, the drip-drip-drip of military assistance is leading to a long and bloody war that appears likely to result in military stalemate.
