Mezran: Islamists [in Libya] are Militarily Strong but Politically Weak

Christian Science Monitor quotes Rafik Hariri Center Senior Fellow Karim Mezran on the Libyan court decision that the country’s election of Prime Minister Ahmed Maitiq was invalid:

“The Islamists are militarily strong but politically weak, and the other side is more or less in the same position,” says Karim Mezran, a Libya expert with the Atlantic Council, an international affairs think-tank in Washington. “We have two sides that are polarized and acting as checks on one another.”
