On September 24, Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security 2020-2021 Senior US Air Force Fellow Christopher Mulder and GeoTech Center research consultant 2nd Lt Inkoo Kang co-authored an article in Air University’s Wild Blue Yonder journal titled “The Tortoise and the Hare: Defense Strategists Must Be Fast and Bold for Their ‘New Vision’ of Space.” In the article, Mulder and Kang argue that US policymakers must move with speed and audacity to integrate space more fully into national defense strategy.

“As the new space rush heats up, the US government’s action—or inaction—in space will determine whether it will be prepared for a new era of space-promoted conflict.”
