Bloomberg quotes Adrienne Arsht Center Director Peter Schechter on what a win by Brazilian presidential candidate Aecio Neves would mean for the country: 

Seeking to kick-start growth in the world’s biggest emerging market outside China, Neves will try to build links with the Pacific Alliance, said Peter Schechter, director of the Atlantic Council’s Latin America Center.

“Relations with Venezuela, Cuba, Ecuador and Nicaragua are going to go under review,” Schechter said by phone from Washington. “Neves has said he’s interested in building bridges to the Pacific Alliance, which has always been viewed by the foreign office and the more ideological practitioners as antithetical to Brazil’s interests.”
