About the program

Amid rapid technological development, climate change, and efforts to advance an equitable society, there is a growing need to bring diverse professionals working in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors together to address the changing European landscape.

The European Leadership Accelerator (ELA) is a pilot five-month program that combines biweekly virtual learning with an in-person three-day convening in London. The program will run from March to July 2025. The Atlantic Council will select twenty-five rising leaders from Europe at the intersection of the digital and green transitions. Ideal candidates are impact-driven, politically engaged professionals from the European Economic Area countries or the United Kingdom between the ages of twenty-five and forty working in the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Participants will have the opportunity to enhance their leadership capabilities and professional growth through leadership diagnostics, virtual trainings, strategic networking, and peer-to-peer learning. A three-day convening will take place in London in May 2025 to explore the changing European digital and environmental landscape.

“We need collaboration today now more than ever. New crises, be they geopolitical, global health, or environmental, are transpiring every day. The Atlantic Council and Millennium Leadership Program are uniquely positioned to open doors to collaborate with a passionate cohort who dare to dream and lead in shaping the course of our global future.”

Winnie Khattar, head of global markets advocacy, BlackRock (Millennium Fellowship 2021)

Join a cohort of rising leaders from across the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom who are shaping the future of the digital and green transition and governance. The ELA is an Atlantic Council initiative, made possible thanks to Apple’s support.
