Shaping the global future together

The Councilors Program is a bespoke membership program that provides opportunities for individuals seeking to further engage with the Atlantic Council and our sixteen programs and centers. The program serves to connect global thought leaders with tailored programming featuring the latest foreign policy issues. Members benefit from gaining exclusive access to subject matter experts and private briefings through specially curated programming that provides a unique insight into the Atlantic Council’s work.

Past events include:

  • A private dinner and discussion on great power competition in Southampton, New York.
  • A conversation with former CIA Acting Director Michael Morell.
  • A conversation on denuclearization in North Korea with Alex Wong, deputy assistant secretary for North Korea at the US Department of State.
  • A cocktail hour and panel discussion with Sotheby’s on the intersection between contemporary art and geopolitics.
  • A briefing on the collapse of the US strategy in Afghanistan with Alex Zerdan, former financial attaché to Afghanistan with the US Treasury.
  • A conversation on great power competition in the age of the pandemic, featuring Paula Dobriansky, former United States special envoy for Northern Ireland.

Through first-rate analysis and high-level convenings, the Atlantic Council develops policies and strategies to create a more prosperous world, providing an essential forum for navigating the economic and political difficulties that define the twenty-first century. At a time when the world is facing formidable challenges, there’s never been a more important time to invest in the Atlantic Council’s work.
