Mexico, almost five years after its constitutional reform, is once again at a pivotal point in its history. A growing middle class, increased venture capital investments and tech savvy workers poise the perfect environment for a more positive and prosperous season in Mexico. The world awaits a modernized NAFTA as the incoming López Obrador administration prepares to enter office in December with a focus on improving opportunities for those left behind. The July 1 election reflected peoples’ disenchantment with the status quo. The incoming government must now deliver and address issues ranging from stagnant wages to a spike in crime and unresolved corruption scandals. From trade and the economy, to energy and security, creative solutions will be needed to seize the moment for Mexico and to build consensus on the future of the country’s global trajectory.

Mexico is central to our mission of broadening awareness of the transformational political, economic, and social changes in Latin America. Our program offers a deep dive into Mexico’s strategic place in global affairs, with an emphasis on its relationship with the hemisphere as well as the United States, Asia and Europe. Through public events, private programs, and publications, we engage and inform influential public sector, civil society, academia, media, and business leaders.
