EU military HQ for Operation Althea, March 4, 2016Germany would support Brussels as a headquarters of an EU army if and when the bloc’s military force is formed, according to media reports Sunday.

A spokesperson for the German defense ministry told the Sunday edition of Franfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper that a “permanent strategic EU headquarters should be built in Brussels,” where the union’s main institutions are also located.
