With the IMF and World Bank Group Spring Meetings taking place from April 18th to the 22nd, the Africa Center has convened the timely “2022 Spring Meeting Dialogues”, raising African voices during the strategic gatherings around development matters. The focus of the conversation is on advancing the African agenda in Washington DC and among the multilateral financial institutions, during a critical period marked by the post-Covid challenges and the economic consequences of the war on Ukraine.
This virtual event on Tuesday, April 19th at 9:30 a.m. EDT will feature remarks from H.E. Prime Minister Anatole Collinet Makosso of the Republic of Congo during his visit to Washington DC. Mr. Makosso will share insights on his strategies to reduce debt vulnerabilities including economic diversification, the Congo Basin Blue Fund, post-COVID 19 vaccination diplomacy, as well as the recent IMF extended credit facility arrangement.
