As the global community continues to grapple with the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Atlantic Council is open for business. Our business, meetings, and events, however, are occurring virtually. For more information, please read an update from our President and CEO.
On behalf of the Atlantic Council’s Cyber Statecraft Initiative, within the Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security, GeoTech Center, and the US Cyberspace Solarium Commission, please join us for a discussion on the role of data in bolstering resilience.
The US government and its industry partners lack access to the kind of data and information needed to adequately understand the nation’s cybersecurity posture. As attacks on the nation’s critical infrastructure and government agencies rise in frequency and intensity, trusted and standardized data about the effects of these incidents, their causes, and how to defend against them grow only more valuable.
On Monday, August 2, 2021 from 2:30 – 4:00 p.m. EDT, join us for the inaugural public keynote from Mr. Chris Inglis, the Nation’s first National Cyber Director, as he shares his priorities in securing the cybersecurity ecosystem. Mr. Inglis’ remarks will be followed by a panel discussion on pending legislation to establish a Bureau of National Cyber Statistics to provide a central collection, analysis and distribution point for uniform national cyber statistics.
We hope you can join us as we explore pertinent questions about what such an organization would offer the public, what it would analyze, and how it might function.
