The Atlantic Council Iran Task Force invites you to a discussion of an anticipated political framework on the contours of a long-term, comprehensive joint plan of action restricting the Iranian nuclear program.

Iran and the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany (P5+1) are expected next week to achieve a political framework for a long-term comprehensive nuclear agreement restricting Iran’s program for at least a decade in return for sanctions relief. Speakers will address the technical provisions of a deal, regional impact, and potential impediments to finalizing and implementing such a historic and controversial accord.

The Iran Task Force, chaired by Ambassador Stuart E. Eizenstat, seeks to perform a comprehensive analysis of Iran’s internal political landscape, its role in the region and globally, and any basis for an improved relationship with the West. It is supported generously by the Ploughshares Fund.
