About the event

Global challenges demand a new playbook, and Latin America and the Caribbean (LAC) has much to offer, from climate leadership to food security. With the right conditions, LAC can advance domestic and regional development while unlocking its global problem-solving potential.

Multilateral development banks (MDBs) are here to help. Strengthened MDBs, streamlined coordination among them, and greater collaboration with the private sector will be essential for empowering the region—and the planet—in this pivotal juncture.

Can LAC and MDBs rise to the occasion? What new opportunities can LAC unlock in 2024/2025 through the G20 (presided by Brazil), the MDB/RDB group (presided by the Inter-American Development Bank – IDB), and the Summit of the Americas (presided by the Dominican Republic)?
