On Thursday, July 24 at 9:00 a.m., the Atlantic Council’s Europe Center will host a conversation with German Federal Minister for Digital Transformation and State Modernization Karsten Wildberger.
At the helm of Germany’s newly established and first-ever dedicated digital ministry, Wildberger is looking to modernize the country’s digital infrastructure and streamline public administration, having promised “a new chapter” and “quick action” in advancing Germany’s lagging digital transformation. As the European Union sharpens its focus on competitiveness, its largest economy will play a pivotal role in achieving the EU’s Digital Decade 2030 targets and advancing regulatory simplification.
Against this backdrop, Wildberger will join the Atlantic Council to share insights about Germany’s digital policy priorities and its vision for a more competitive and cohesive digital Europe.
This discussion will be streamed live on YouTube, Twitter, and Facebook. In-person participants will have the opportunity to ask live audience questions. To participate, please register using the link above.
