Out in Energy will be hosting The Hon. Shawn Skelly, Assistant Secretary of Defense for Readiness, and Mr. Joe Bryan, Chief Sustainability Officer at the Department of Defense on Thursday, January 27 from 6:30 – 8:30 PM EST.

During this event, participants will discuss the intersection of climate action, clean energy, resilience, and the US armed forces. In addition, participants will evaluate the role diversity and inclusion for queer people at DoD plays 10+ years after the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell.

To attend in-person or to join virtually, please RSVP by emailing Zack Strauss at zstrauss@atlanticcouncil.org.

This event is part of a series of Out in Energy engagements designed to inform network members on key energy trends and policies, connect people across the LGBTQI+ community working in energy and climate, and raise overall visibility for LGBTQI+ people working in these fields.

If you have any questions or concerns, or if you would like to refer someone to join the Network, please do not hesitate to reach out to Zack Strauss at zstrauss@atlanticcouncil.org. We would also encourage you to join our private LinkedIn community here.
