On Tuesday, October 7 at 4:30 pm ET, the Atlantic Council’s Eurasia Center and Kyiv Security Forum will host an expert discussion, featuring former Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk, on the war in Ukraine and diplomatic efforts to end it.

The diplomatic and battlefield situations have changed rapidly in recent weeks. US President Donald Trump announced that Ukraine can take back all of the territory Russia has seized since 2014, reversing his previous calls for major concessions from Kyiv. Ukraine’s counteroffensive near Pokrovsk has stalled Russia’s slow advance, while Kyiv’s drone strikes on energy sites are causing shortages across Russia. Europe has imposed new energy restrictions on Russia, while talks on security assurances for Ukraine continue without concrete guarantees.

Former Prime Minister of Ukraine Arseniy Yatsenyuk will headline an expert panel to discuss the path forward for a durable peace in Ukraine.

New policy: In-person attendees will be required to show photo ID upon arrival, and no on-site registration will be permitted. Guests will not be admitted later than twenty minutes after the event’s start time. Registration for this event will close at 5:00 p.m. ET the day prior.
