The Africa Investment Forum (AIF), in partnership with the Atlantic Council’s Africa Center, invites you to a private roundtable previewing this year’s Africa Investment Forum, a flagship initiative of the African Development Bank in concert with other leading African and global development finance institutions. The conversation will focus on manufacturing and agribusiness in the AIF marketplace in the lead up to the Forum which will be held in Abidjan December 1-3rd. This roundtable serves as a first step toward advancing tangible investment deals as part of this year’s AIF agenda. The panel will include the CEO of the Africa Finance Corporation, a Managing Partner of the Sahel Fund, and other investors. Moderation will be provided by Africa Center Senior Fellow Ms. Aubrey Hruby.
AIF’s mission is to create a pipeline of bankable deals to present to investors in critical sectors across African markets and accelerate the progress of ongoing projects. The 2019 convening saw fifty-seven deals closed, totaling $67.7 billion. With the 2020 forum postponed due to the global pandemic, the December edition this year will be one of the first critical platforms for global investors to reengage with African markets after a period in which travel and due diligence has been challenging.
