On June 9, 2023, the Atlantic Council IN TURKEY hosted a roundtable in Istanbul on the future of bilateral relations to discuss the opportunities and challenges following the Turkish election season, featuring U.S. Ambassador to Türkiye Jeffry L. Flake. The roundtable was moderated by Atlantic Council IN TURKEY & Turkey Programs Senior Director Defne Arslan.

The roundtable covered U.S.-Türkiye trade and commercial relations, people-to-people ties, and defense and security relations. Discussions also focused on current issues such as Sweden’s NATO accession, Türkiye’s interest in purchasing F-16s, and the war in Ukraine.
