The reception will take place as part of the US Department of State’s formal launch of the SMR Pan-Regional Interest Nuclear Group (SPRING) initiative.
As part of the Foundational Infrastructure for Responsible Use of Small Modular Reactor (SMR) Technology (FIRST) program, the SMR Pan-Regional Interest Nuclear Group (SPRING) toward Fleet Deployment initiative will facilitate efficient and harmonized fleet deployment of US SMR technologies in Central and Eastern Europe and Eurasia, by delivering technology-specific regulatory and project management expertise to interested partner countries with US SMR vendor involvement.
