On March 11, the US Cyberspace Solarium Commission, fourteen commissioners and staff from across government and the private sector, issued its comprehensive report. The Commission’s findings outlined a comprehensive strategic approach with specific policy recommendations for implementation. This discussion will focus on those recommendations to improve the security of the technology ecosystem by developing better information on which policymakers, industry leaders, and consumers can base their cybersecurity decisions. From promoting greater supply chain transparency to better understanding how security controls do and do not materially improve security outcomes, the Commission’s recommendations combine to effect a “reshaping [of] the cyber ecosystem toward greater security.”

The virtual discussion with the Commission and the staff charged with this ecosystem effort will feature Congressman Jim Langevin and a star-studded cast of expert panelists.
