From June 2 to June 6, the Atlantic Council’s Warsaw Office will host Warsaw Week 2025: Retooling the transatlantic alliance for an era of uncertainty.
Warsaw Week is the Europe Center’s annual flagship conference that aims to highlight the importance of relations between the United States and Europe, with an emphasis on the Polish perspective.
The return of Donald Trump to the White House carries significant implications for Europe and the transatlantic relationship, and the administration’s policies have weakened European trust in Washington’s commitment to shared transatlantic values. As a major actor in NATO and the European Union, a growing economic powerhouse, and a “model European ally,” Poland has acquired significant political capital to promote a revitalization of the transatlantic partnership. The question remains how the United States and Europe can look past ideological differences and work with each other for a common cause.

As the Trump administration’s policy and posture towards Europe evolves, Europe understands it must take on more responsibility for Euro-Atlantic and Ukrainian security.
