Southern & Southeastern EuropeAleksandar Jakovljevic is a 2025 Millennium Leadership Intensive participant and the former advisor to the minister of foreign affairs of the Republic of Serbia. He was focused on multiple bilateral and multilateral political initiatives, including the chairmanship of Serbia in the Global Partnership on AI. His past experience includes public administration reform and migration. He worked at UNDP Serbia developing the first return-migration program in the country, as well as with USAID in Colombia on developing policies for Venezuelan migrants. Previously he was active in the civil society in Serbia, where he helped develop the Association for Affirmation of Culture, focusing on projects in youth activism and youth entrepreneurship. Jakovljevic holds an MPP from Harvard Kennedy School and an MLB from Bucerius Law School in Germany, as well as BA/BS from St. Francis College in New York.
