Hemal was a senior advisor at the South Asia Center. He serves as a strategy and financial advisor to the CXO-level of the public sector, NGOs, and non-profit organizations. With over 25 years of experience from The White House, Deloitte, and Georgetown University, Hemal focuses on the integration among the public, private, and non-profit sectors to address business challenges and public policy issues. As an entrepreneur and partner at Deloitte, Hemal has a sustained track record of growing enterprises and programs in various sectors & industries in the US and multilateral organizations. Key areas of specialization include finance, sustainability, regulatory transformation, digital modernization, and security & risk management.

In addition to serving clients, Hemal plays a leading role in Deloitte’s Global Corporate Social Responsibility program to expand education and digital access to 50 million women and girls by 2030. He serves as an Adjunct Professor, Leader in Residence, and Executive Coach at Georgetown University Schools of Foreign Service and Business. Hemal is the Founder of IMPACT: Inspire Meaningful, Peaceful, and Civic Thinking, an organization addressing students’ and experienced professionals’ need for leadership development and analyzing career options in an increasingly global and digital economy.

Hemal received his Bachelor’s degree in International Political Economy from the Georgetown School of Foreign Service, magna cum laude, and his Master’s in Public Finance & Administration, summa cum laude, from The Maxwell School of Syracuse University.
