Indo-PacificMajor Kevin M. Wheeler, USMC, is a nonresident fellow in the Indo-Pacific Security Initiative at the Atlantic Council’s Scowcroft Center for Strategy and Security.
Wheeler is currently the regimental logistics officer for 3d Marine Littoral Regiment, 3d Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force aboard Marine Corps Base Hawaii. This units spends an extensive amount of time in the Republic of the Philippines. Before this, he served as an operations research systems analyst in the Joint Staff J-7, where his work focused on assessments and analysis of future-focused reports and conceptual employment of the Joint Force. Wheeler has extensive experience living and working throughout the Indo-Pacific region and is passionate about building meaningful relationships born of common interests.
Wheeler is an alumnus of the Norwich University Military College of Vermont and Joint Forces Staff College with Master of Science degrees from the Naval Postgraduate School and the National University of Singapore.
