Kirk Allen is a 2022 Atlantic Council Millennium fellow and leads digital communications for the premier manufacturer of remotely piloted aircraft and radar systems, General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc. (GA-ASI).

At GA-ASI, Allen is responsible for expanding the company’s data-driven digital strategy through statistical analysis and the development and dissemination of bespoke multimedia content for its websites, social media channels, trade shows, and media partners. Leveraging his academic international security background, Allen also contributes to researching and planning broad US Department of Defense and international communications initiatives that make the case for the development and acquisition of the world’s most advanced remotely piloted aircraft systems by NATO allies and partners.

Previously, Allen was the regional marketing lead for Europe, the Middle East and North Africa, and the US Navy at GA-ASI. In this role, Allen developed and implemented impactful marketing communication strategies. He has overseen key marketing projects that have contributed to collaboration with and procurements by Belgian, Dutch, US, and UK forces, as well as enduring partnerships with France, Spain, and the United Arab Emirates.

Before joining GA-ASI in 2020, Allen was an operations and communications specialist for the Centre for Science and Security Studies and served as King’s College London’s communications representative for NATO Engages in 2019.

Allen has a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of North Texas and a master’s degree in international peace and security from King’s College London.
