Eastern EuropeLejla Nuhanović is a 2025 Millennium Leadership Intensive participant, Marshall Memorial fellow, and McCain Global Leaders alumna. As national political officer at the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina, she oversees and analyzes political, governance, and security developments with direct implications for institutional functionality and regional stability. Her portfolio includes legislative and executive branch engagement, shaping policy dialogue with parliamentary and government actors, and providing political support to the Mission’s environment and climate security programs as well as its gender and youth programs. She also conducts field monitoring across multiple areas of responsibility, delivering analysis that informs early warning, reform efforts, and strategic decision‑making. Previously, she worked as a business journalist for the local CNN affiliate N1 and Forbes BiH, reporting on high‑level economic and business developments shaping Southeast Europe. She also spent a decade with the Federal News Agency as an international affairs journalist and video editor, producing in‑depth coverage of global and regional events from concept to broadcast for diverse audiences.
