Sarah Daly is a nonresident fellow at the Atlantic Council’s Africa Center and a graduate student at Yale University’s MacMillan Center Council on African Studies. At Yale, she plans to deepen her understanding of the nexus of natural resources and conflict, with a focus on extractive industry and violent extremism. Before joining Yale, she analyzed African geopolitical and security developments and ethics for applied artificial intelligence at the Institute for Defense Analyses, where she continues research on an adjunct basis. She previously completed a Fulbright fellowship in San Juan, Argentina, and worked for the Kenya Scholar-Athlete Project, an education non-profit in Iten, Kenya.Daly graduated with honors from Amherst College with a BA in history and English.
