AfricaSarah Way is a program assistant at the Atlantic Council’s Africa Center where she supports the Center’s work on energy, critical minerals, and sports diplomacy. Her research interests include critical energy supply chains, development, trade, and investment.
Before her current role, Way contributed to Africa Center publications and provided research assistance for a policy report. Way previously worked for Democracy International, an implementing partner of the United States Agency for International Development, where she provided programmatic support for democracy, human rights, and governance programs. She also interned at the American Foreign Policy Council.
Way received a BA in international affairs with minors in French and political science, and a regional specialization in Africa and the Middle East from the University of Colorado Boulder. She also studied abroad in Meknès, Morocco.
