On June 26, Matthew Kroenig, Atlantic Council vice president and Scowcroft Center senior director, was quoted in the New York Times on the NATO summit communiqué, which did not include a strategy for Russia or mention China and had very limited references to Ukraine.
I think success on the defense spending pledge, but on the downside, a lot of other important issues weren’t even addressed, and I think the alliance will have to wrestle with those issues over the coming months.
