On October 23-24, 2019, the Atlantic Council’s DFRLab hosted the 3rd annual Global Forum on Strategic Communications (StratCom). StratCom 2019 convened policymakers, academics, and civil society actors in a series of discussions on the challenges, best practices, and innovations in countering malign influence. The conversation was wide-ranging, discussing China’s information operations, regulation of social media platforms and personal data, as well as strategies to confront everyday falsehoods related to climate change and public health, among other topics.
