Please join the Atlantic Council Global Energy Center for the next episode of EnergySource: Innovation Stream. The series highlights new energy technologies with the potential to reshape the global energy system through discussions with companies and individuals working diligently to bring those innovations to market at scale. On Thursday, May 27, from 8:30 a.m. – 9:00 a.m. EDT, the Global Energy Center will host Neil Hamel, Head of US Innovation & Venture Hub at Ørsted, who will discuss how the Hub will identify, foster, and finance enterprises in the offshore wind space with a focus on next-generation technology.

With its seven workstations in Providence, Rhode Island, the Innovation Hub partners with startups to bolster the offshore wind supply chain in the US. Mr. Hamel will explain how the Hub acts as a commercial and technical accelerator for new technologies—providing necessary engineering, operational, and commercial expertise, as well as access to assets to adapt technologies to offshore deployment. Mr. Hamel will also discuss how the Hub can foster collaboration to address top technological challenges to offshore wind development in the US.
