With the tenth anniversary of the Millennium Fellowship quickly approaching, the Council is incredibly proud to announce the first ever Atlantic Council Millennium Leadership Summit on September 4-6 in Westport, Connecticut — just one hour away from New York City.
This historic convening of inspiring leaders within the Atlantic Council network will feature various discussions, events, and networking opportunities. The summit will take place at the Headquarters of Bridgewater Associates and at the Grace Farms.

September 4 Key Details
- The cocktail event begins at 6 p.m. on the roof of the Watershed, at the River Loft. There will be Atlantic Council staff in the lobby to guide you.
- The hotel is about a 25-minute drive from the Stamford train station, and there are Uber/Lyft rides available in the area.
- Parking is available onsite.
September 5 Key Details
- Due to Bridgewater security measures, participants are asked to depart via bus from the Watershed Hotel by 7:45 am. Upon arrival, Summit registration will open at 8:15 am.
- If you are arriving via Uber or personal car, please ensure you have a government ID and arrive with time to go through Bridgewater’s security.
- For those travelling by personal vehicle, reserved spaces will be available in the N300/400 garage on Bridgewater’s campus.
- Programming will run from 9:00 am-5:30 pm, followed by a nearby cocktail reception at The Lookout (249 Greens Farms Road, Westport, CT) from ~5:30 – 8:30PM.
September 6 Key Details
- For those staying at the Watershed hotel, the bus will depart around 8:00 am. If you are checking out Friday, please do so before boarding the bus with your luggage.
- If you are commuting from another location, please plan to arrive by 8:30 am. Upon arrival, please follow directions to park and enter by the West Barn Hall. Please have a government ID on hand to go through the entry gate.
- Programming will run from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. Grace Farms will provide a storage room for those who will be departing on the 6th and carrying luggage. We will have a bus depart for Stamford Amtrak station following the conclusion of programming.
What do I need to bring to Bridgewater Associates?
You will need to present government ID upon arrival and pre-fill an A/V release form prior to arrival.
What do I need to bring to Grace Farms?
Active shoes and clothes if you plan on participating in any physical activities.
What do I do if I cannot take the bus to Bridgewater from the Watershed on the morning of September 5?
If you will not be on the Watershed bus, please let our team know immediately. Bus travelers have been pre-cleared by Bridgewater security and arriving via an alternate transportation method requires advanced notification, Bridgewater security will hold you at the front gate until your participation is confirmed by a Bridgewater employee.

Bridgewater On-Site Policies
- Please take a minute to review and sign Bridgewater’s AV release form as soon as possible. This form relates to the onsite photo and video recording that will occur during the events on September 5th. Signing this document is mandatory, as you will be denied entry to the Bridgewater campus without it.
- Please be aware that photography and video are not allowed on Bridgewater campus.
- If you are currently experiencing any symptoms consistent with COVID-19, please do not come onsite. In the event you become symptomatic while you are onsite, please take the proper precautions to keep others safe and depart the campus when you are able to do so.
