As the global community continues to grapple with the coronavirus (COVID-19), the Atlantic Council is open for business. Our business, meetings, and events, however, are occurring virtually. For more information, please read an update from our President and CEO.

The Atlantic Council’s empowerME initiative in partnership with the U.S. Mission to Saudi Arabia, AmCham Saudi Arabia’s Women in Business Committee, and Quantum Leaps held a virtual roundtable on Wednesday, March 31st from 10:00-10:50 am ET/5:00-5:50 pm KSA to discuss Saudi Arabia’s recent efforts to boost women’s entrepreneurship and economic empowerment and challenges that remain.

This event marked the launch of a new program – IGNITING Women’s Entrepreneurship and Innovation in Saudi Arabia – led jointly by the Atlantic Council’s empowerME initiative, the U.S. Mission to Saudi Arabia, AmCham Saudi Arabia’s Women in Business Committee, and Quantum Leaps. The program will bring US entrepreneurs, experts, and business leaders together with Saudi counterparts to build relationships, share knowledge, and develop partnership opportunities via hybrid workshops and networking sessions. The program will enable US and Saudi participants to explore the opportunities of Saudi Arabia’s emerging markets and bolster ongoing efforts to increase women’s economic empowerment and inclusion in Saudi Arabia.
