On November 30, the Atlantic Council IN TURKEY & Turkey Programs and GeoEconomics Center organized a roundtable in Washington, DC, featuring Professor Hatice Karahan, Deputy Governor of the Central Bank of Turkey. The roundtable discussion focused on the Turkish economy and monetary policies, as well as the shift in Turkey’s economic policies. The roundtable was moderated by Atlantic Council GeoEconomics Center Deputy Director and C. Boyden Gray Senior Fellow, Charles Lichfield. Atlantic Council IN TURKEY & Turkey Programs Senior Director Defne Arslan delivered introductory remarks. The roundtable covered Turkey’s macroeconomic outlook for 2024 and beyond.

The Atlantic Council in Turkey, which is in charge of the Turkey program, aims to promote and strengthen transatlantic engagement with the region by providing a high-level forum and pursuing programming to address the most important issues on energy, economics, security, and defense.
